German Shorthaired Pointer Breeders in Colorado

High Point Kennels was founded in 2000 by Susan Herrel, CVT, as a home based breeding facility for purebreed German Shorthaired Pointers. The first criteria was to insure that my dogs had sound AKC conformation qualities to help eleminate athletic breakdown in the hunt field. After finishing three males in the show ring it was time to test their hunting abilities. My dogs regularly participate in NSTRA (National Shoot to Retrieve Association) dog trials and enjoy wild bird hunting in Colorado and Kansas. I am happy to announce that High Plains You Dazzle Me acheived her NSTRA Championship in 2011.
